Unfortunately my mate and I abandoned PC gaming over the last couple of years and sold our desktops and replaced them with laptops. I got mine about 18 months ago:

Asus K50IN, Duo T5870, 4GB Ram with a Geforce G102M graphics card running Windows 7. My friend has a similar spec with a slightly better graphics card.

Now we used to play Age of Empires 3 and have just started again, my laptop runs it fairly well at 1366x768 with most things at full. Now were looking for some other similar games that will run well, what is the latest C&C that would run acceptably at medium + deails? Or any other similar games worth looking at?

Cheers for any help.

Rome Total War is considered the classic of the series and should be able to run on that hardware no bother. For C&C probably up to and including Generals. Any of the Dune PC games should also be fine.

Im running a laptop with a 2ghz dual-core and a 8600 gt m. Rome runs great on it and medieval 2 is playable. Company of heroes, dawn of war, warcraft 3. I love dwarf fortress too, not sure if that's classed as a strategy game. Red alert 3 also runs fine, although I uninstalled it as I didn't really enjoy it. I don't have any of the Civ games so I'm not sure about that. From what I can see from a quick google search your card seems to be a bit lower in performance, but you should still be able to play some great games. Of the C+C series my favourite games are both older (RA2 and Generals) anyway, I'd recommend Generals especially. Hope it helps.
