Im a complete noob, when it comes to these games, so what would be the best one to start off with in the Total war series?

oh right, ive decided to give Rome a shot, as im interested in the era, its cheap and if i dont like it well it doesnt matter.
But i like what ive heard about Shogun, so yeah ill download the demo and give it a go,, thanks all

Shogun 2, medieval 2 is too old to start off the series on. Stick with the modern ones and go to the older ones if you feel brave.

They are that tough then?
