Does anyone have any experience with stratstone dealers? My dad has his eye on a jag they have. What is the difference between Stratstone approved and Stratstone collection approved?? i have emailed them and no answer, i have called and still awaiting a callback from yesterday:mad:

Don't quote me on this (I am not a used car sales executive consultant and thus know nothing about cars) but I'm pretty sure the Stratstone Collection is what Stratstone dealers use to sell cars they receive in part exchange which are not part of that particular franchise.

For example, if you trade in a VW Passat at a Stratstone Volvo franchise, that Passat might then be retailer as a 'Stratstone Collection' vehicle. You'll probably find the approval process and warranty offering is not quite as cast iron as a conventional used car, but the prices are also far keener.

A few people I know have had nothing but utter praise for Stratstone of Wilmslow, try calling a different showroom?

Having said that, this is a dealership that deals in pretty much exclusively exotica.

All Stratstone group dealers can sell cars from other dealers in the group so if you want to enquire about this car at your local dealer you can.

If it's local just go and turn up, have a look at the car.

I've bought both my BMWs from Stratstone now with great service both times (Derby & Tring).

Their workshop/parts prices aren't great though so Sytner Nottingham or Knights at Stoke get that job.

Stratstone Tring is miles away from me but we did the entire deal over the phone without even visiting them or another Stratstone dealer. They just delivered the car to me and took my old one away free of charge. Not bad considering it was over 100 miles each way. :)

No experience buying but I use Stratstone Chesterfield for servicing and they have been nothing short of superb :)

Sytners quoted £1010 for my insp 2 , Stratstone £780 and i haggled this down to £650

they were also considerably cheaper for oil service
