Hi, I am wonderimg if anyone can help me fix some random stuttering in sc2.

The problem :
I get random slow downs, particularly at the start of maps in SP and at various times mp "waiting for xxx" comes up. it sort of stutters for maybe 30 seconds and is then fine.

This is kinda intermittent , some days it does not happen at all, some days it is virtually unplayable online.

I have no issues with other games ...

I have been ignoring it but I play a lot of starcraft these days so I would like to fix it if I can.

I have a 50mb connection so I dont think its network related/

System specs are more than enough I would have thought ...
Intel core 2 quad 9450 @ 3.2
4gb OCZ ddr3 1600
Asus striker II extreme NSE
MSI GTX 470 twin frozor II
Coolermaster silent pro 700w PSU
5x 120mm fans in duty cycle, cpu and gpu are not hot.

I am running it at 1920 x 1200 but dropping down resolutiions does not seem to fix it.

I also went back to my old video card (4890), made no difference.

Any ideas guys ?
 
Is it just happening today? Think the servers are a bit iffy today..

Otherwise are you playing on a wired connection or wireless?

I had similar issues very occasionally, but I'm on the same VM connection you are and for the most part it's been fine for me :)
 
not tried today, it was happening last night tho, do you think its battlenet then ?

I am using a cable, router is right next to pc

Could be, in my experience it has been either that or the occasional hiccup in VM's service. It's been pretty rare for me though, so if it's happening consistently for you then it's probably something else..
 
seems to be both they moan about waiting for me as well but that doesnt explain the campaign stutter at the start of levels ...

then again thats also logged into battlenet so could be the same I guess ....
