Streaching/Warm up

A month or so a go, I decided to start that 100 push ups thing, and the 200 sit ups. 1st sessions seemed to work out, but then I spent the rest of the week in agony and gave up having not been able to do the other 2 sessions for the week.

I assume this is because I did no form of warm up at all, and in school this was always an important thing to do. But the 100 sit ups thing doesn't seem to mention any warm up.

So what is a correct set of stretches to do before push ups and sit ups? And is it OK start both "programs" at once, I saw a 200 squats thing too, but I have quite strong legs (cycle a lot), I just have really scrawny arms and where I used to have a mild 6 pack a year or so ago, I now have a wobbly one pack.
 
LOL, I have to use that as a sig somewhere.

I've just finished the 2nd session since My OP, arms were still aching, mostly in the front of my shoulders and top of my chest, but managed the required number, just. Sit ups were easier, my belly seemed to take session 1 fine, it's only aching a little bit now.

Number of push ups on Wednesday is looking scary.
