Stream 4k From PC to TV

Hi, I'm buying a 4K TV for front room soon. I was wondering if it's possible to stream 4K files from my PC which is located upstairs using the smart features that modern TVs have these days?

Sorry yes, wireless. But I was also meant to ask if you can do it over LAN with ethernet/ WiFi?

Is this for gaming ? You could try wireless HDMI , but lag might be an issue . I'm sure someone with lots more knowledge of networking will be along shortly

You could try the plex app, wifi especially from upstairs will likely struggle though.

Thanks , its not for gaming, just watching films. I'll look into that NexusK, I can sort a wired connection out when the time comes

Yeah, DLNA should be built into your TV.

I stream 4k via 5GHz WIFI fine.

need to check 4k tv will decode 4k/hevc streamed content (dnla/kodi etc), so that no transcoding is needed; threads/reviews will probably reveal any limitations, or taking usb/sd stick with samples into shop.

I've tried the Plex app on my TV, it has built in wireless .ac so has no problems running full blu ray rips.
