Hiya guys,

Finally got round to getting a mac for home:D

Anyway, what i am trying to do is play iplayer content on my tv downstairs from my mac upstairs, i have my xbox there which i was hoping i could stream to.
I have downloaded a program and tried playing it using connect 360, but that does not seem to work, although connect360 does see the content from itunes, which i guess is a start.

Any ideas how i can do this?

I don't believe you can do it the way you want to.

I use Connect 360 and it is fine for my DVD rips and music, but not very good for Blu Ray etc.

The only way I was able to get my iMac to show on the TV was with a mini display port to HDMI adapter.

Yeah i could see that working, but not practical for me, hell of a dvi lead ! lol I have read that you can do something with the DRM, but not sure i can be a$$ed to go down that route.
I guess i could always try and get an old mac mini and have next to tv....

I'm moving house Tuesday and what I have planned is to drill a hole through the wall to the outside and tack it down the outside of the house and back in through the wall. Similar to when Sky install their cables.

Is that an option? If not I'm not sure how else you could do it :(.

Thats pretty impressive, but sadly not something that i would get pass the wife. And tbh it's not that important to me, just a shame that all this media is at our fingertips, but just not quite how we all want it. think Apple should do something more with ATV :p

Tell her what to do don't ask! Rules in my house are :

Wife chooses decorating furniture etc.

I choose AV/Electronics and if anything of hers interferes with mine I get the final say!

Try it ;p

LOL i think it's more the case that i.m not sure i could be hassled to start drilling and stuff. Was hoping for some neat bit of software to do it all for me :D
