Stream laptop to TV wireless

Hi,

I am looking for a device (don't think chromecast supports it) to stream whatever is playing on the laptop onto the TV. Mirroring the image basically.

Is there such a device as I know a lot of them only support apps.

Its not actually for me, its for my mum so needs to be as simple as possible really

It all depends on the laptop.

What you are looking for is WIDI, if the laptop supports it.

Adapters can be bought for tv for about £15.

Its a Toshiba A660, probably 3/4 years if not older so I highly doubt it.
