Stream Processes and CUDA cores.

Are they the same thing or are they dependent on each other? If one card has fewer (but more powerful), could it be faster at rendering than another card with more stream processors and/or CUDA cores.

I'm so clueless as to what they are and what they mean in a card. Thanks for any info in advance.

Stream processors are AMD's name for GPU cores, nvidia call them cuda cores, but they are not comparable

knowing how many your card has is irrelevant, you need to look at real world tests to try to work out a comparison of how different cards perform

It is like comparing an AMD 8 core CPU that gets beaten by 4 or 6 core intel CPU's, more isnt always better
