streamdeck keeps disconnecting and reconnecting sound

i'm having an issue where i keep hearing a usb connect and disconnect sound every 10 seconds or so. i have put this down to my streamdeck, but the weird thing is, it only happens if the streamdeck software is running. the device is always plugged in, and when i start the pc the streamdeck shows their logo on it which is what it does when it has power but the software isn't running. no sounds come, but as soon as i run the streamdeck software i get the usb disconnect sound, and it's constent, every 10 seconds or so. the streamdeck device seems to run fine, i don't notice it restarting, but the disconnect sound keeps happening.

i've updated to the latest software, changed usb port, disabled windows being able to put usb devices to sleep to save power, none have solved it. any ideas?

Have you tried disabling USB selective suspend from the Windows power plan?

I know you have updated to the latest software, but I would try uninstalling, delete any temporary files and then doing a clean install with the latest version.
 
If the streamdeck still works fine
I would assume a possibility of its not actually
The streamdeck disconnecting
For whatever reason it may be causing something else
To keep disconnecting and reconnecting

Could double check what's actually disconnecting and reconnecting
Nirsoft does some great free tools for this stuff
Think it might be called usbdeview
 
Out of curiosity do you have the stream deck software connected to icue, and do you also have hwinfo64 installed? I had a similar issue happening with my H100i cooler, turned out when hwinfo64 and icue are linked it randomly causes the USB disconnecting/connecting noise. Disabled the corsair link in hwinfo64 and it fixed it.

i have downloaded this and there is one device that was connecting and disconnecting, ever 3/4 seconds. it was called port_#0001.Hub_#0004 - usb input device.

no idea what is on that, but i've disabled it, and instanty that stopped the disconnect and reconnect issue. the thing is, i genuinrely don't have a single cclue what i've just disabled. the stream deck still works fine, my wireless mouse is fine, keyboard fine.
