my brother got a new yamaha rx-n600d for xmas, which comes with a network connection. now we it connected to the router ok, and i can ping the amp ok from the pc, so i belive that from a hardware pov it connect ok.
however the amp doesn't pick up any songs. using the amps menu system i get as far as the PC, then i can't go any futher. this makes me belive that it not seeing the music share server on the PC.
iam using WMP11 as the music share server, ive select the tab under the libary to "allow my music to be shared" and out side of that i don't see any other settings,
so what iam i doing wrong that the amp can't see the server. is there some setting in WMP11 i havn't setup right
or is there a better program for sharing music over a network
