Streaming box advice

Hi lads, bit random but... Looking for a few recommendations for streaming boxes like wdlive. I currently have a wdlive and infact I have owned 2 of them and both freeze randomly which is annoying. So then bought an emish e700 which it turns out can't even run 1080p so need another option.
So basically looking for a decent box which responds quickly and isn't crappy upscaled. Cheers.

Define what you mean by streaming,
eg
NAS to client
Netflix
prime
etc

I think Nvidia Shield is currently the best option. problem is you have to buy a shield tablet which aren't cheap.

I have a shield, just need to get an Nvidia GPU on my next upgrade!

Well I was referring to the Shield Console. £149.99 (16GB version, no hdd, includes controller, runs android, can be rooted but voids the warranty).

Not the tablet version.

Sorry I should have given a more detailed answer for what I need, all it needs to be able to do is play netflix via wireless like the wdlive box, or stream from PC.

The set up that I has which streamed movies etc that i had downloaded on my pc over the wifi to my living room was on pc run plex media server..Then at receiver end I used a now tv box with the plex addon installed..works flawlessly and fully reactive.
