Streaming from pc to X-Box

Hi i have all the cabling setup and using media centre in vista. When i go on the xbox it will pick up all my pictures and music, however when i try accessing movies it doesnt show them. I have put them all on my pc using dvd shrink, does anyone else manage what i am trying or could give me any pointers? cheers.

There is an easier without using media centre it's called TVersity.

Works wonders for me and i've been using it for well over a year now.

Hi mate i have just downloaded this and set it up but it seems tricky to use, how do you go about setting it up and are you watching films saved to your hard drive via your xbox? what format are they saved in? cheers

Try PS3 media server, very easy to use and despite the name it does work on Xbox as well.

I use it all the time to stream Hi Def .mkv's on both my PS3 and xbox and works perfectly

I always stream to my Xbox using Winamp remote, easy to setup and works well for me, never had any problems with it. I would check the video format your films are in will play on the xbox by putting them on a USB thumb or hard drive and plugging directly into the xbox (has to be formatted FAT not NTFS). If it plays you know its something in your network setup / streaming program.

With TVersity i set it up that long ago i can't remember but this page seems to have enough to get it started.
