So I want to look into streaming games onto my living room tv.

Some times, I would like to play games from the comfort of my sofa, my wife gets invested in the games story mode so it would be fun to be able to play those games on the living room tv.
I live in a rented apartment so running a cable is not really an option.

The games I am playing don't really need low latency as they will all be single player games or couch co-op games with my wife.

Whats the best way to do this?

Research suggests a shield pro would be my best bet but again, it would have to be wireless.

Thanks!

AFAIA Wireless doesn't have the required latency to do this well. This is why my Chromecast Ultra was wired. You didn't have to run the CAT cable to the TV though, it sent that down the thin power lead.

Do you have a laptop? I just hook my laptop up to the TV and use steam remote play. It works surprisingly well for slow paced games

So you had to do it wired?
How did you find it worked through the power socket?

It worked well... until Google decided to can Stadia! It still works a streamer, but no gaming now. Unfortunately, I think the Chromecast is unique in the way they did this, with the LAN socket in the plug feeding the device via the power lead.

Bought an HDMI cable.
Figured this would be easiest and tested bluetooth, my controllers reach my pc fine while in the living room.

so it wont be neat but it will work for when I want it :)
