Streaming Machine for parents

Thinking when I have some some spare cash about building a small streaming machine for the folks.

Would like it to be small-ish so can be moved from room to room easily.

What would be the min parts to be looking at?

Wouldn't need a Monitor as will be plugged into TV but I have spare monitors any way if we did need one.

What are you streaming from/What will you be streaming.

Something like a Amazon Fire TV might be more than enough and perfect for pretty much any streaming you can think of.

It has plenty of built in apps eg Plex, iPlayer and so forth and can even install Kodi if you prefer to use that.

Nvidia Shield, aweseom machine. My parents use my every so often. user friendly, but doesn't have Amazon prime

Ive got an Android box (T8 for me and I bought my parents an M8 I think) and it works flawlessly. Theres a side to Kodi that no everyone will want to use but Ive got it linked to my NAS and streams my ripped content to the tv perfectly.

Just be careful where you buy them from as some of them come installed with all sorts of junk!
