just wondered if this is possible at all? i have recently started to stream my game play to twitch. i have a decent set up (i5 2500k at 4.6ghz) and gtx 580.
i dont have much of a problem streaming but it can get a little choppy sometimes.
so i was wondering if its possible to set up a second pc and stream the game play from my main pc with the second pc to take some load off my main pc. make sense?
maybe something like a capture card or something in the second (streaming) pc.
any help is great guys thanks.
shameless plug: follow me on twitch im on most night streaming with my friends (mainly dayz but a lot of single player and retro stuff too)
twitch.tv/H3RBSKI just drop me a follow to see when im next online. :)

What programs are you using to stream with? Most streaming applications won't take a lot of resources - talking negligible amounts that you shouldn't notice.

I use(d) XSplit as it has everything a streamer really needs and manages it all well and is fairly intuitive.

As for the original question, none that I'm aware of, but I'm sure there are ways!

A Simple answer is yes it can be done but can be expensive as you need two things

1 : Another Pc with a good cpu
2 : A Capture card that can receive the signal from your main pc and the resolution you play at many cards can only do 1080p@30hz and only do 640x480 at the lowest
frame grabbers at get much higher resolutions but cost as much as a PC :)

Now streaming part I am not sure about never do that my self I just record there are a few card I have seen that can do it thou

Im currently using obs as it's easy and free to use. A lot of the streamers I watch have a second streaming pc. Tried messaging them to ask how they do it but appear to be far to busy to reply with a 3 min message lol

Its quite easy with a second PC.

you will need a capture card in that PC then you connect your main PC's second monitor out to the capture card and clone your main Pc's display.. then in whichever software you use make it stream from the capture card

Wouldn't work, the 2nd pc would record it's own desktop/displayed image.

You can get Devices that clone the output from your pc but normaly easier to use clone

Also something like this work have seen a few ppl using it Page

Thats why its called a capture card its Captures the output of another pc not the one its on :P and yes I have used them I have 1 Capture card + one frame grabber
