Hi guys

Can anyone tell me what i would need to stream medis wirelessly from my PC to my TV? the reason i want to do this is, i will be getting a HDTV soon and would like to stream HD clips so i can see them in all their glory, i would like to do this wirlessly if possible, so is there a device that i can get that would allow me to do this?

TIA

G

That's what i'm afraid of, i would assume that the ammount of data that's being transmitted would be too much for the media hub to cope with and there's also the wireless connection strength to consider, so would you say the best option would be a wired method?

the other option would be to get a wireless video sender of some sort, that would allow me to connect my graphics card in my pc to the TV wirelessly but how would i then control my pc from another room?

To be honest having tried just about every soloution you cna think of HD over wireless, at least as MPEG or TS is not possible. The bandwidth is just not there. I have a Buffalo Link Theatre and that just doewsn't work. I've attached it to a router which is acting as a Wireless client...no good. The soloution I cam up with was to get a Maxtor Shared Storage drive plug that wired into the wireless router and the BLT into the same router. Install twonky vision and I can stream straight from the drive.

I can then transfer my files across the wireless network to the Maxtor drive.

Buffalo Link Theatre = BLT. and there isn't really a cheap way of doing it. There is a new player coming which has just been reviewd on MPC Club (www.mpcclub.com) which has a drive bay which should work. Other than that you'll need a USB hard drive or simliar and something like the BLT or Show Center.

I have tried streaming some HD clips (720p WMV HD)from my PC running Media Centre to My
xbox 360 (connected to Samsung LE32 via VGA) quite successfully using 54mbs 802.11b wireless. The performance was quite good. However, Microsoft
reccomend 802.11a band because of the many devices in the Common household that use the same band as 802.11b (such as cordless phones etc) which will case interference and bad performance.

Does anyone know of any good sites offering WMV HD downloads that are a bit longer jut short trailers? (and free) (nb if they are Divx HD can I convert to WMD?)
