Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting: First Screenshots

A 14 year old game that is being released again this time on the most advanced console at the moment and it belongs on the snes/megadrive and was a great game may I add. Is it just Hyper Fighting? Where the hell is Super Street Fighter II Turbo which was the best of the lot?

Brings back memories I remember buying this game for £85 import!!!

Seems like a pointless exercise to me, as only a few months ago they released the SF Collection for the X-Box and PS2. I would have though they would release a new game using the full technology

BTW you might want to re-size that picture to 640 x 480 ;)

I can't wait :D This is going to be amazing.

One thing that worries me is the bordered playing view for Live - I was hoping for fullscreen :(

Come on SF over Live! how can anyone say that thats pointless? itd cost more to buy it for a snes, let alone buy a snes AND the game. Yeah sure it can be had relatively freely through emulation or even in java form on the net. But you wont get to be ranked against the world now will you?

Cant wait!

PS im really really hoping that they bring out a load of coin-op classics for the live arcade, having a worldwide rank would be worth the cost and then some!

Already happening. MS are in touch with Midway, Capcom, Konami and other oldies to bring back arcade titles to Live. P.O.W or Midnight resistance...

Brings back so many good memories from playing this in the Arcades (when people used to go to them!).

It's awesome, as back in these Street Fighters every character was unique in that they had their own distinctive identity, even Ryu and Ken. Everyone had a favourite character.

These are also the characters where you remember the names as each one meant something to you.

I absolutely love the fact that they are bringing old arcade games to the 360.
I played some smash TV and some Robotron earlier today on the 360 and some SF2 and Robocop on my old Xbox.
I think the Live! Arcade is great and paying a few quid for an old game that is going to run perfectly on the 360 is one way that microsoft are going to keep me happy.

Yep, without a doubt one of my favourite parts of Xbox Live! It also has the most potential. Games like Worms, Bomberman and Metal Slug would sell very well!
