Firstly i started playing this game this morning after wanting a fighting game on pc. please inform of my questions below

now i'm very heavy fighter player Played Tekken, Virtual, Mortal combat & dead or alive
on VF i have 150 wins online losses
Tekken i have 250 wins 0 losses online

However i have following issues, i'm playing on Hard at the moment and not lost a match.
(might up it soon but be bored of more flashy skills half way across the match)

1) can't find a fighter i like -VF = PAI in Tekken =lei?

2) All the CPU does is repeat the same move over and over From a distance Hadpooken Or Vipers whatever legs... This is just sad and not enjoyable its just like platformer jump dodge jump hit jump dodge.
what Level do we get a real fighting experience?

3) the FOV is soo narrow i feel im to close to the fight. fix for this?

4) im yet to do some sad flashy skill as the game does not inform you of the button (checked options)

5) The bottom bars im not to sure what there for im guessing to kill up flashy skills? its always flashing SUPER! but no idea why.

6) apparently i cannot set a button for throw on my xbox controller.. as every button is apparently used....

7) are the effects worth using (in the graphics section?)

Sounds like you are new to Street Fighter.

1) With so many characters, obviously it will take time to find the one you want.

2) It's a CPU, of course it will spam the same moves over and over again because it is dumb, regardless if it is on the Hardest difficulty. They are also programmed to read your own inputs every now and then so they determine what move to use to counter you. So your best choice to get over all this, fight against a real person.

3) That's how the game is designed. You can probably modify and hack some parts but that may cause problems if you ever go online. And besides, this is a 2D fighter, why complain about FOV.

4) Don't quite understand what you are saying here. But go into Training Mode, look at the Command List for whatever character you use, turn on Input Display on in the Training Options.

5) The Super Bar is for unique Super Moves for whatever character you use. Each bar can also be used for EX Moves, slightly more powerful versions of a character's Special Move with it's own properties. Again, try Training Mode and look at the Command List for your character. It shows you how to do them. Or try the Trial Mode.

6) Look into it again, you should be able to select and choose whatever button you want. If it is already in use then you will have to think about what buttons you want to use and reconfigure it all. Besides even on controller I'd advise not to use a button for Throw specifically. Practice pressing Light Punch and Light Kick buttons together for throwing since that is the normal way.

7) Try it out for yourself since it is mostly for personal tastes anyway. I quite like the Watercolour filter.

What kind of fighters are they, long range, close range, fast, slow, grabby, air focused?

2) All the CPU does is repeat the same move over and over From a distance Hadpooken Or Vipers whatever legs... This is just sad and not enjoyable its just like platformer jump dodge jump hit jump dodge.

Best with mates if you can. Ai is only for the story really.

Fov isnt adjustable and there is nothing wrong with it really, may just need to adjust to it a bit but ull soon find it fine.

4) im yet to do some sad flashy skill as the game does not inform you of the button (checked options)

Go in to practice or training mode or whatever its called, you can set up opponent and make em attack or not etc and also find out the moves for all characters and you can get UI elements to help your timing of the moves.

5) The bottom bars im not to sure what there for im guessing to kill up flashy skills? its always flashing SUPER! but no idea why.

Bottom bars are for powering up supers and ultras. When full and flashing you can do a ultra and you can do supers hmm when its not flashing or when its half way tbh cant recal as never do supers :p

The game doesnt like unassigned buttons. So assign ones you want then check player one and player twos controls (yes player twos as well) for unassigned ones and just assign them random keys on the keyboard if u want to get the game to accept ur gamepads keys tho it is better with a keyboard imo.

7) are the effects worth using (in the graphics section?)

Set one and run the benchmark on main screen to see what there like if you want. Personally i dont think they are that nice and actually make the characters look worse.

First off, congrats on the progression in previous fighters :)

1. You will definitely be interested in Gen, hes basically Lei, but very difficult to master.

2. This is Street Fighter, that is what the game is primarily about, it isnt spamming as such its genuine tactics and is most characters playstyle, its up to you to avoid and counter them.

3. Cannot change this.

4. sad? Look in your command list, its the ultra and super combo, good luck landing them on somebody. :)

5. Wow, your greener than grass son haha, they are primarily for focus-attack-dash-cancels from special moves which let you chain into ultra combos (FADC from Ryu's shoryuken into Metsu Hadoken is probably the easiest). They are also for EX moves which give you more priority and than regular specials, and sometimes extra properties (Gouken has a wallbounce from his EX palm, Evil Ryu's EX sumo stomp is an overhead etc).

6. Throw is a combination of two buttons on the pad, light kick + light punch.

7. Personal taste, experiment.
