i got my own custom buttons and stick from my old mad catz. so it doesnt really matter. i thought the hori made parts are supposed to be good

Looks like Madcatz supports this so nothing stopping Capcom from implementing this no doubt highly wanted feature, which the Skullgirls team kindly offer for free.

Who? Capcom don't make any money from PS4 stick sales.
Sony have already allowed the tool to be used on Skullgirls and provide the support for generic USB devices.
Madcatz have stated explicitly they support the tool.
Lab Zero Games have explicitly stated they want to let everyone use the tool for free.
Who's left, and what is the source of your cynicism recently? Are you ok?
I personally prefer the Hori peripherals, the only stuff that gets officially licensed. They been making stuff for years and getting it rebadged as Sega, Nintendo and Sony. All the stuff I tend to use are either official or Hori.
Madcatz, thou I've not brought anything from them in a long while; last one the "Ken" control pad for the PS3, what I've brought in the past have been poor.
