Hello,

My new computer will be here on Monday, and I would like to stress the hardware to make sure all of it good and stable with a 4.0ghz overclock.

I have already downloaded trial versions of:
-3D Mark 06
-Pass Mark
-Prime 95

What are some of the tools that you guys use? and is there anything I should know about the above listed programs? I've never had the need to use them before.

New computer specs
- CPU: Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz Overclocked to 4.00GHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58A-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
- Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B CPU Cooler with Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000rpm 120mm Fan
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel
- 4870X2 GPU

Thank you

IntelBurn test is another good stress tester for your CPU. Also you'll need some software to monitor your temps. If you haven't already got them you should look at Coretemp, and HWmonitor. They're both free btw

Edit: also furmark for stressing your gpu
