Stress testing 7990

Generally, 3DMark 11 Scene 1 (Performance mode) provides a good stress test environment for most of GPUs, ofc loop it.

No way

IIRC it runs @720p which makes it a poor test even for the weakest setups.

Heaven 4 maxed or Firestrike Ultra would be far better.

Use a power meter u will simply find the pressure of it. 3D11 has no framerate limit therefore with a GTX 780Ti in scene 1 I can hit more than 600W of my rig which is more than BF4 or NFS Rivals (4K resolution and unlock to 60FPS).

I do use a power meter sometimes and my PC has been measure using 1800 watts on Firestrike Extreme.

As to 3dmark11 it is a rotten test for any GPU using 720p when the user is much more interested in much higher resolutions. You can also get away with a very dodgy PC setup with 3dmark11 as it hardly taxes the VRAM at all so if your VRAM is dodgy it may not show up.
