Hey guys i know a few of you have stetchers in your ears so i hope you can help! I want to stretch both my lobes to 10mm at most, but i dont even have my ears pierced yet! What i would like to know is do i have to walk around looking like a fag for 2-3 weeks with plain gold studs in my ears before i can start stretching?

Thanks :)

Nah you can start larger than 1.6mm (Standard Piercing parlour size) or 1mm (Piercing gun size, do not get them gunned).

I started at 2.4mm. To do this they use a 2mm needle then user a taper to ncrease size to 3mm the slip though 2.4mm jewellery. The overstretch can minimise bleeding.

You can start larger aswell. Someone I know was pierced at 4mm using 2.4mm needle then a taper.

If you are serious you can start at 10mm via scalpaling. Again someone I know thorugh another forum just had one of his lobes scalpalled straight to 12mm.

If you want some more specific info. jsut ask and I and others can point you in the right direction.

Get them pierced with titanium or blackline so they're not "faggy gold" so to speak.

Wait a fortnight between for each mm you go up otherwise you'll risk ripping your lobe which is no fun.

You mean like this?? They are only reversible by actually stitching your ear back together.
They look silly and won't be permitted in many workplaces.

You can go up to about 15-20mm and still have them grow back normally without stitching needed. I also happen to know a fair few successful young business men who have a large stretches :)

Hate to sound like a right pedant but its advised by most that you wait 4-6weeks between mm stretches. Also 6mm is also considered the point of no return for many. True some people have managed to go back from larger but I wouldn't recommend to someone jsut getting into this that they can go back to normal from 15mm.

And sorry yeah I know quite a few poeple with large lobes and other visible models doing respectable careers. The stigma attached to visible modifications is gradually receeding.

A mate had his done a few week back. Not sure on the exact size but they're bigger than standard studs. I'd guess around a 2-3mm gap then the ring that fits in the ear.

He said they punch the flesh out and insert the ring!

Ah I've been okay with 2-3 weeks but maybe it's because I heal quickly! No harm in being a pedant when it could save his lobes ;)

My dad didn't necessarily "stretch" his lobe in the traditional sense, he just seemed to accumulate more and more rings until it was about 12mm and now he only wears one at a normal size :p

Just be sure you'll want it for a long time and not just as a passing thought, I've been sat at 6mm for a while because a) I don't want to go huge and b) I'm too lazy to buy another taper.

There is such a think as dermal punched which does what is described but any parlour using them in lobes should not be frequented. They are regularly used for ear cartalidge and nostrils as the flesh is tougher and very difficult to stretch.

I think his were done in Amsterdam.

You should try labret stretching, you really have to be patient :D
