Strictly 2014 features a ringer

My wife (and ex-professional dancer) and I were looking at the images of who is in the line up for Strictly Come Dancing 2014 and she was surprised to see Caroline Flack. The reason is that Flack used to be 2 years below her when my wife studied dancing at the BodyWork Dance Company, where she (Flack) earned the nickname of "Twiglet". So, they get a load of "celebs" on, many of whom have never danced, and expect them to compete against a trained professional. To add insult to injury, Flack even won the BBC3 "Dancing on wheels" show where she danced ballroom with her wheelchair bound profesional partner. They even went to a European Championship.

I've watched two series now and there have been trained dancers/ringers in each series which makes me wonder what the point of obviously rigging the show is?

Indeed, the very nature of "show biz" is that a lot of the celebs have come through drama/arts schools where they were taught dance. Same applies to the folk who are in pop groups.

Exactly, I don't think anyone can honestly say they think any of these tv shows are fair and purely won on talent.
It's supposed to be entertainment after all, you may not agree with it and therefore don't have to watch it and can choose something more suitable.

Plus they need at least one "hottie" to keep the husbands interested
