Anyone else watching this?

I'm not sure what to make of it personally, has some good bits but then follows it up with something stupid and some bad acting (though I did find the 1st episode thing with that Section 20 woman having sex with the dude as that is what he needed [apparently] funny).

Pretty good I thought considering it was a British military action series - certainly better than Ultimate Farce. Bit formulaic, infiltrate bad guys by getting captured, get tortured a bit, escape. Wouldn't mind seeing a second series.

only seen eps 1 and 2, but end of ep 2 got me wanting more, going to watch 3 and 4 tonight i think.

If you didn't know it's based on a Chris Ryan novel, quite a good read and slightly different to the tv series, settings etc.

Glad to see this made as i'm a big Chris Ryan fan, books, tv shows etc.

Not a fan of Chris Ryan in general, but I enjoyed it overall. It did unfortunately remind me of Ultimate Farce at some points.

I could overlook some bad acting and action right up until the start of episode 5, the one in Afghanistan about the Airstrikes. The start of that was just rubbish, really showed its lack of research and budget. It got loads of the technical stuff wrong, the bits with the "missiles" and laptops was laugh out loud toss. Half the beards are laughable as well, but the rest of the episode wasn't too bad.

Only just noticed season 4 has aired. Any one watched it? It has its flaws but I rather enjoy the show, Charles Dance was great in season 3.

I have always thought of the show as Spooks' louder, more appealing on the eyes, less substance inside brother.

Strike Back is hugely inferior in my opinion. I'm bias though as I really enjoyed the The Unit and I don't think we'll see a similar show in a full season run again for years to come unfortunately.

It reminded me of Ultimate Force when I watched the first few seasons. If you don't mind it being silly in parts then you might enjoy it, just don't go into it expecting it to be anywhere close to the quality of The Unit.

I think it is OK as long as you don't take it too seriously, some of the characters are pretty wooden and there seems to be a random sex scene in 90% of episodes but it gives you a dose of action.

I think S1-3 are available on demand now.

This season however made you think too much about wtf was going on.... they should have kept it a bit more simpler the audience is clearly aimed at us cavemen ;(

Also less naked women this season due to more thinking and thoughts going on which is never a good thing.

I really enjoy Strike Back and for me it gets better and better.

Completely mindless sex/violence and terrorist training camps in every country in the world. But keeps me entertained, which is all I can ask for!

the last episode of season 4 airs tonight in the USA then in two weeks on the 28th season 4 episode 1 airs on SKY.

to the American they consider Season 2 of Strike Back to be Season 1 and season 1 is only just being aired in the USA under the title of Strike Back: Origin (label as a prequel) and episode 1 of 6 will start airing on the 25th, 1 week after season 4(season 3 to USA) has finish.

I do enjoy watching it as it something you can simple relax, watch and not think to hard about. :)
