Striker 2 formula

Is it possible to overclock this board to 3ghz even doing my head right in

Cant get it stable at all!

striker 2 780
Q6600
reaper 1150mhz

tried 1333/cpu volatge 1,45 ram 750mhz 5 5 5 15..

any idea,s 220 notes for a board that wont even do 3 gig is Stupid!

Also what bios to use i am on the one that comes with the board is that my prob?

Was thinking about buying the same board, with the following

Wolfdale E8400
8800 GTX (SLi to be added later)
2x2Gb PC8000 1000mhz ReaperX
64bit OS (undecided which)
Thermaltake Full Tower case and Modular powersupply (again undecided, might watercool with a Kandalf case)

Be interested to hear if you get your problems sorted, or if anyone else can see any problems with this set up?

I got rid of mines, it did OC better than my Striker Extreme on the FSB.

4.5GHZ and 2000FSB on a E8500 but it was all other bugs and heat of Mobo even at stock that was PIA.

The prob i am having is been scared to flash bios cos of the horror stories you hear on asus forum!

And not been able to hit even 3 gig

Cmon peeps some one must have soon setting for me to get a stable 3 gig with at least 900mhz ram!
