striker extreme memory?

at present i have ballistix pc2-6400 ram 800mhz stuff

is this the highest my board will take ? cheers in advance

No it will take faster.

Tho your Ballistix should do in excess of 1100mhz.

im not an overclocker tho

i dnt like the thought of pushing it and it dying on me

The higest memory you can get is 8500 rated which is 1066MHZ.

But thats a waste of money, 800MHZ is NOT slow at all. No need to change your RAM.

Well you could go for some PC9200 (1150mhz), but you still have to manually set it's settings in BIOS as your motherboard won't automatically boot it at 1150mhz first time.

Tho why do you want very expensive memory if you're aren't overclocking? It would be a complete waste of money.

Overclocking is easy!

With that system of yours you will get a nice and a easy OC.

The 680i boards though make overclocking a doddle, its a simple matter of typing in the speed you want and maybe adjusting the voltages if needed. Youre done.
