Hey guys I need some serious help. Whenever I try to update my BIOS using EZ Flash 2 in the BIOS, the erase ROM leaves a small chunk undeleted. The yellow bar skips a bit then carries on as usual. The update then proceeds ok, but I think my BIOS might be corrupted or something, as my windows install and hard drive has crashed 2 times this past week.

I did use ASUSupdate to install the BIOS before, yes I know now that it was a bad thing to do.

I am trying to update it to 1104, but it seems that it might not be updating correctly. I am grateful for any help received. Thanks

The reason why I think the BIOS is not right is that reported voltages are 0.1v higher than set, which is high. And, my windows install has corrupted twice in the past 2 days.

OK, ive just taken the battery out. I recently had a corrupted hard drive. You think it could be related to a slightly offish BIOS?

oh - and do I update it 1104 after its updated to 0901 succesfully? Or should I install windows etc with 0901, and try some overclocks, and if I don't see any problems, be happy right?

EDIT - No, it still does that funny skipping in the "loading" bar. It says "erasing", the yellow fills the first 3 blocks, skips three blocks and carries on filling the rest. It seems OK, but is this normal?

Cheers Andy. Should I update to 1104 now? Or just install vista etc, get my HDD back up and running and then update to 1104? Or just not bother with 1104 for now, and try to OC with the current BIOS?

OK, I've isntalled vista etc. Is the 0901 free from the corruption issues that plagued earlier BIOSes? I don't want my new HDD getting corrupt on me. :D Cheers for your help Andy.
