SB overheating while idle, and NB about 68' while idle, (both not good) i'm thinking of removing the heatsinks and reseating them, however. As the heatpipes link to the NB and SB heatsinks, i'm not sure if i can safely replace them. So if anyone has any suggestions then please let me know.
I'm fairly certain that to reseat the NB and SB heatsinks i need to remove the heatpipes also. So i have a quick question.
For the thermal paste i have
Thermalright ChillFactor Thermal Compound
Do you think this will be good enough? or do you think i should go and splash out on some of the arctic silver. (if there aren't any 3rd party heatsinks that'll work... hell i'd probably do it anyway, i'm gonna buy a pair of those spot coolers to help clear up the heat problem a little bit more.
