Hi there i have seen a vista computer going cheap from a big store i was hoping to strip it out and keep just the mb ,chip and vista that comes with it. when that build comes together i can sell that lot will i have problems activating it with different ram,hd etc?

Why not just buy a new mb, cpu and a copy of vista. Must be cheaper than buying a pc just for those components.

If the PC is only £200 then the parts in it must be junk, what are the specs of it? No need to mention where or how much due to competitor rules but an indication of what you get for £200.

If its the usual rubbish sold in big retailers you could probably buy the parts for less than £120.

If its decent ddr2 ram a decent speed hard disk and a X2 3800 then its prob just about worth the £200 but for roughly the same cash you can buy those components and have a choice of make/models.

I know that i would put parts in it and sell it for more. i just wanted to know about the activation.eg i picked up 2 aoc 19tft ex display80 quid each sold 1 for 120 next day. have one as second display till i sell it:cool:
