Has anyone here installed a copy of Windows that was stripped down (ie specific components removed that would otherwise be installed in a defualt install)? I've used nLite to cut done my copy and I've removed most of the things I don't want or will never use. I did however choose to remove IE and WMP but I'm thinking this will cause consequences in the future as they have components programs will probably use.

Also, does anyone know of any good ways to install windows in a way that will help its integrity? I was thinking of installing of seperate partitions but then hearing this offers no noticible performance gain if partitions are on the same physical disk. Would it just be best to install it on say C: with all program files and then use a D: partition for personnel files?

Thanks.
