Strix Soar and Tiamat 7.1 Help Please

Hi,

Ive just installed the strix soar card and the only audio im getting from the tiamat's is the front speakers and it sounds really tinny I know i must be missing something somewhere but I have no clue what so is anyone able to assist please.

Am guessing you have all the 3.5 jacks installed into the correct jacks?
Apart from that I would look at Windows Playback device, click on speaker and config make sure 7.1 is selected

I can not see anywhere to select 7.1 audio

ahh yeah thats set for 7.1 so is the sound card do you know of any audio site i can test my headset on pls?

When i try surround audio tests on youtube im only getting front

I like this 7.1 Dolby test file, Youtube wont give you 7.1 What happens if you click on each speaker from above image? They should be a test sound

in the test i get full 7.1 but zero audio from the link

yep gone over the test again from windows and speakers work and plugged in right

Ok make sure to use VLC player. Windows play is crap

Thats sounds to be working then. Test some games. Youtube isn't Multi channel audio ready from what I know

tried a couple of them files from that link no audio at all from either

Does the Strix have a audio channel selector?

No idea what the Strix UI looks like, but there is one on the Xonar cards. For 7.1 output you have to select 7.1 in the analogue output and 8 channels in the audio channel box. Strix cards may not have that though.

Shankley m8 its working tried it in game and can see it working on the audio control panel you was right about youtube thats what was throwing me. Thanks so Much for youre assistance m8 appriciate so much.
