Strix vs Matrix

i was tupid enough to buy a Asus 980Ti Strix a few months ago when I should have waited and bought a Matix. It is worth selling my Strix and buying a Matrix?

Matrix runs a bit cooler, that's about it. Not really worth a change imo.

You will see no difference ingame for the hassle of selling up, making a loss and then spending more money. If the Strix cooler design is posing you no problems then why bother?

Absolutely not, unless you plan on kicking the **** out of it benching you'll notice next to no difference between the strix and matrix.

I have matrix. Not tested yet but I know the performance BIOS gives it an efficiency lead. In terms of OC its silicon lottery although most matrix are clocking very high.

All this said why swop to game. Really no need.

He only managed 1442 on his matrix, my strix does 1525
So no, not worth changing as you are just playing the silicon lottery

Mine wasn't good either. It came overclocked at 1.1ghz & struggled / rarely achieved 1200.

Remember mine were cak too. Ran 1300+ on the core but scored like any other brand running at 1200.

Techpowerup only managed 1440 on their 980 Ti Matrix.

You'd be swapping your Strix out literally just for aesthetics.
