Hi guys. I've just got this motherboard and it has 24 pin, 8pin and 4pin connectors for power. My PSU (antec truepower 750w) only has a 24 pin and 8, but not additional 4 pin.

Is there an adapter for PCI/molex to the CPU connector thats safe to use? Or should I look at getting a different PSU?

Thanks.

I had the same question a few years ago. The advice was no, an adapter of that sort is not safe, and just use the 8-pin header.

Doubt it needs the extra 4pin to function correctly.

My SOC Champion works and overclocks fine with just 24+8pin connected.

Havent used the extra 4 pin socket on my last few motherboards, asus maximus 6 formula and the msi in sig. Overclocked all chips i used on both boards fine.
