Stronghold 3 - Thread

This game should be a lot of fun, i like to take my time and max out my settlement before concenrating on attacking. Dont know what it will be like online though probably a rush fest :/ defo one for the shopping cart
 
The game is utilising SteamWorks so if you dont want Stronghold 1, I imagine retail would be cheaper.

Coolshop are accepting pre-orders for £22, that is more than 10% cheaper than the Steam price.

Before anyone moans or Neil gets banned :p - PC hardware is not their primary focus so all is good and OcUK do not currently sell it.

Never played Stronghold games, however reading this thread someone mentioned Lords of the Realm 2 and wow I'd forgotten that game till now! I used to play it so much, watching a youtube video brings back such memories! The voice acting n all "LETS GET DIGGING!" "Exit the game my lord?"

Is Stronghold similar at all to Lords of the Realm? I love sim games and building/being creative, so I wonder if Stronghold is for me :)
 
Stronghold 1 was one of my favourite games ever. I still occasionally play a few levels on it.

I'm hoping 3 feels more like the original than SH2 which was very disappointing.
 
remember my mum hearing the words
"your popularity dwindles my lord" whilst I was playing sh1 to which she said "get outside and see your friends then" :D classic game - really hope sh3 is more of a remake of the original as every stronghold game since has been dissapointing
