Hi All,

I'm looking for a new case.

For the last few years I've bought Lian Li's but they don't seem to have anything in their range at the moment that appeals. I really like the look of the Corsair 350D but I want to use a standard ATX board.

I'd like a window, decent cooling, cable management, quietness and decent looks (not much then!). Not keen on doors on the front either.

I also go to the iseries a lot so something that can be locked down would be a huge plus and can't be too big

I won't be doing any water cooling but might be going for dual gfx cards

Budget is approx £150

^^ can't go wrong with the 750D if you'd like an ATX version of the 350D. (EDIT: Or can you? It is quite big)

Alternatives: Corsair 540 Air for something a little different, or the Bitfenix Ronin for something a little cheaper.

The NZXT Switch 810 might also be worth a look.

You can get Micro ATX cases with 5 slots, to allow you to run a dual slot card in the bottom PCI-E lane.
If you got one of those and the right motherboard, you could have the first graphics card in the top slot, and covering the second, then your creative card in the third lane, then the second graphics card in the fourth lane, and overhanging the motherboard.
There a plenty of motherboards out there that support this kind of config, but it depends what CPU you want to use etc.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong. I wanted something that takes an ATX board because I potentially want dual graphics cards and my creative sound card.

I've just been looking at some boards (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-574-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2574) and it looks like i could get all three cards on a micro atx board?

Or maybe just not use the creative card
I am literally just replacing my 650D with a 540 (for future wcing possibilities and looks); i'm sure that we could sort something out if you were interested!

Am I allowed to say that mods? Seeing as neither of us have access to the MM :/

That board wouldn't be ideal for SLI/Crossfire as the bottom PCI-E slot only runs at x4.

The bottom slot on this motherboard runs at x8:

It has a slot for your sound card, too, although the onboard audio is excellent,

How about BitFenix?? The Ghost and Shinobi mid-towers have had pretty good reviews. Or failing that, the Antec P280 can take XL-ATX boards so an ATX should be a breeze

I went from a Shinobi to a 750D and the difference in quality is huge!

Not to mention the Shinobi really does have awful air cooling performance.

750D all the way if you like the looks of the 350D.
