I have a Sony Kdl55w905a tv and in the old flat it sat perfectly in the centre of the lounge. Unfortunately in the new lounge it currently resides parallel to the corner but sits past the window behind it.

I need a corner tv stand but due to the size of the beast I'm struggling. We have sheesham coffee table, side table and the fireplace surrounding almost matches too so want to keep/find a sheesham tv stand. Not cheap and nor do they do one for 55" screens.

I found this one online http://www.lifestyle-furnitureuk.co...ture-jali-sheesham-corner-cabinet-p-1524.html but not sure what tv it will take nor how it will fit.

It's hard to see from this pic cos of the angle, need to take a new pic really.

Do I sell up and get a smaller tv or take a risk with this stand and hope it looks better than it does now?

I'd get a smaller TV for me that one dominates the room to much, mind you I'd lost the corner sofa as well as I've rarely seen one that looked good in a real room!

How much space is lost when you angle the unit? Looking at the angled edges. The plugs could sit behind. I'm assuming the settee is up or nearly against the wall?

Still paying for the sofa so that isn't going anywhere fast and for a first home (flat) it looks pretty good as it divides the room between the tv/living area and to the left of the window (behind where I took pic) is the dining table.

Ideally I don't want to drill holes in the walls so a floating shelf or wall bracket is probably a no no. I need to properly measure and get some cardboard cut outs to see what it would look like I guess

Finally managed to locate a wooden sheesham TV stand for my TV. It was 60 miles away and got it for £70. It's a little used but a bit of wood silk has brought it back to life.

I think it looks pretty good in the room now. I've put the soundbar behind the TV and has no loss of sound at all from what I can tell. The only issue I have is no PC as it's too wide to fit in the gaps.

Old glass stand felt cold and didn't fit the layout of the room at all
