Because it’s just a stl file in fusion360 it is quite a hassle. The easiest and quickest way might be to just do it in your slicer, few ways:

- in PrusaSlicer there is a split/cut tool on the side bar. Orientate the model to be upright, then use cut and enter in the Z (height) you want to cut at. Make sure to select keep upper part and keep lower part.
- in Cura install plugin called mesh tools and it has a split feature. I’ve no experience using this though, but should be same principle as cut tool above.

There are a few different ways you could go about splitting your 1:10 RC car shell model into smaller parts that will fit on your 3D printer's bed.

  1. Use a slicing software: Many slicing software, such as Cura or PrusaSlicer, have built-in tools for dividing a model into smaller parts. Look for the "split" or "chop" feature in your slicing software, and use it to divide the model into smaller pieces.
  2. Use a CAD software: Another option is to use a CAD software, such as Fusion 360 or AutoCAD, to manually split the model into smaller parts. This can be a bit more time-consuming, but it will give you more control over the final result.
  3. Contact the designer: If you are having trouble splitting the file, and the designer of the model allows it, you can reach out to the designer and ask if they can help with the file.

Thanks all for the response I have managed to get my head around it now I'm having trouble anything 10 to 40 mm in height is fines once I get about that it's like the layers don't stick but when it's below 40 mm the layers are perfect
