Struggling with Afterburner

So I unlocked afterburner using the cfg file, my overclocks and everything work perfectly but I get screen flicker.

I googled this and found another way of unlocking it so I put the cfg back to standard and used the rename of file properties on the shortcut instead (-xcl).

This stops the screen flicker but creates half a dozen more problems, GPU-Z is now next to useless using this fix, showing the first GPU being stuck at the last overclock even when applying a new one or rebooting (2nd GPU is fine). The sensors don’t respond including core and memory.
This also for some reason appears to unlock CCC as well (this is not a big problem as I use afterburner).

The only way so far I’ve found on fixing these problems is to uninstall afterburner and ATI drivers and starting again.

Can any-one help me to use afterburner unlocked without any of the above problems

Copy these settings and then restart your pc.

Does that fix it?

I read your guide before I started overclocking LtMatt and I'm pritty sure there the settings I have, although I'll check when I get home cause Im not sure about the "Restore after suspended mode".

Well i use afterburner and gpu-z and don't have those problems you mentioned. If you don't have ULPS as disabled then you will get those problems you mentioned. If it fails uninstall afterburner, drivers, everything and try again and follow the guide you linked and if you follow it correctly it should work as intended.

...... That fixed it, cheers me dears.....

However GPU-Z is still broke, it now reads speeds and temps on GPU1 but not Volts or anything on GPU2

Might be a dumb question....

Did you hit the drop down at the bottom of gpuz and select the other card? You need two gpuz windows to monitor both cards.

Think its working now, one last question, Ive set my volts in afterburner to 1.225 and when I benchmark this is what afterburner shows me in the hardware monitor, however GPU-Z shows a different voltage oftern moving around and it always lower than that which afterburner shows......is there a vdroop in gpu-z?

Yes gpu vdroop = normal. Afterburner only shows you the target voltage.

It's also possible gpuz doesn't fully support the voltage regulators, iirc it wouldn't show true voltage on my lightning.
