Hi,

Wasn't sure where to post this thread so thought I would try here.

So every pair of in ear headphones I've owned in my life have driven me mental, its not like I've gone through loads and been obsessed with different ones its just the ones I have owned never seal no matter how many different types of in ear pieces they come with and fall out. I've tried after market foam pieces on my current buds and they are either too loose or irritate my ears if they do make a good seal and they are fiddly to put in when I'm on the move.

I do a lot of walking and I'm considering trying over ear headphones that are on the smaller side, light, comfy, wireless for listening to music and youtube and easily throwing onto my head when going out. The only issue I see with these is I tend to get very warm when walking even in winter and I'm concerned they'll get a irritating when the weather is nicer.

Based on what I've said

I hate in ear and have been using over ears for a number of years now. No issues from my side. Love em.

Do they get annoying in the height of summer though, what do you use for music when out and about?

Aren't there things like earbuds but they also have a plastic clip that goes over your ear to stop them falling out? I was just watching the Tour of Italy and professional cyclists use them for comms. So, maybe something like that, or engineer something yourself with the existing earbuds you have.

Not really an issue keeping them in because I bought some after market foam tips that work, they just start to irritate me after 20 mins

No, not annoying, usually too busy enjoying the music. A couple of thoughts though. Mine are both closed back to prevent sound leakage (means that I can wear them in the office) and include a mic. Both are very useful functions.

For music, I just use my iPhone. I deliberately bought one with 256GB of storage such that I can put several hundred albums on in FLAC format.

Just been out walking the dog wearing my current pair and tempted to keep them now, it's inconvenient having to roll the foam tips and squish them in when I have an excited dog and just want to get going and my ears do get sore quickly but I realised when I'm walking to pick the kids up I just throw the buds in my pocket where as over ear I'll have no where to put them when walking back!

I do want to try something else though, these were only £35 and sound good to me so I might be missing out on better sound and definitely want more comfort and convenience, I realised whilst browsing Amazon before that air pod style would be easier but then I would get sound leakage I don't think any of that style have ANC so that would be annoying, can't have it all I guess.

Using them for work would be good too, currently use wired and they drive me mad being tethered to the desk

Cheers I'm going to stick with buds and upgrade my current ones for something with a more comfortable fit, wireless charging and ANC, might wait until the Alexa buds gen 2 go on offer they look to have everything I want and won't need an additional app on my phone
