I got to the boat with the containers flying about and the guy with the chain gun, had a couple of goes at it, got killed cheaply, switched it off and not been back since.

Cant be arsed with that nonsense.

that is exactly the point i started to struggle!

i just completed it on easy. imo you should replay it on a easier difficulty. epic game imo.

I've platted the game and, in all honesty, i thought it was easier than Uncharted 2!

A tip for that level though is to climb on top of the containers, i found it made life easier.

What about the bit in the ballroom. I found that bit insanely tough. Gonna go through them again later and try again. Don't think I want to try crushing if I struggle with normal.

I switched to easy after a couple levels, the shooting in Uncharted 3 is really quite poor. It was either that or stop playing completely, I don't have the interest to play levels multiple times until I get it right.

I remember people complaining about the aiming and the game getting patched because of it, it should be in the options somewhere.

i suck with both. i find it all to easy to get overwhelmed to get a bead on the enemy before i get swamped. i find fire fights much tougher then U2.

I'd have tried it if I had the chance, but I rented it before the patch was released so never had the option. It was very odd playing Uncharted 3 considering the first two were fine, was almost as if the X and Y axis had magnets on them.

I'd recommend moving the difficulty down, if it's no longer fun to you then it's only going to sour your experience to keep playing areas over and over.

my prob is i cant help feeling that dropping the difficulty is a kop out.

i must suck bad if i cant beat the game on normal but i just dont feel i can do any better.

It's not a kop out, play the game on whatever difficulty you find to be fun.

I always default to normal, but occasionally it comes down to either allowing the game to become a frustrating and unenjoyable experience, drop down the difficulty or stop playing altogether. Easy decision for me in those situations, if that means the people who finished Uncharted 3 on normal or higher are better than me at the game then I'm cool with that, they enjoyed playing the game how they wanted to and so did I so it doesn't actually make a difference to anything.

I found some parts of uncharteed quite challening tbh.

If i remember there is a section near the start of the cruise ship level where you're in some sort of area with a stage. I found that to be quite a pain, mainly because of snipers + shotgun guys. There was another section just before you board the cargo plane also, where you're surrounded by containers.

Having good spatial awareness and keeping an eye on whats happening around you really helps. Deaths for me usually occured when an enemy managed to get right up close to you while you're too busy dealing with his friends.

Parts of 1 and 2 on Crushing I found to be some of the hardest game play I have experienced. I wouldn't worry about reducing the difficulty on this title.
