stuck again! startrek elite force2

hi
i`m stuck on startek elite force 2 again. on -the enterprise -level where you are outside the ship and theres three sets of enemies trying to break through the hull, i understand what i`ve got to do , but it doesn`t seem possible in the time it gives you! am i missing something?

It's well easy, you've just got to jump up in the air (low gravity) and massacre them from above. Choose your weapon carefully.

The next bit on that level with enemy spaceships attacking and you have to man a turret is much harder, in fact it's probably the toughest section in the whole game.
