well put my tuniq on and tried upping the fsb to 367 which would give me 3.3 but 1 of the cores failed so went into bios and took it of auto and changed the
ddr volts to +3
cpu voltage 1.4 but was still showing 1.34 in everest
pci-e volts at normal
fsb overvolts normal
mch overvolts normal
any ides what could be up as though it would have been ok when put it upto 1.4 volts,:(,p.s temps are ok aswell idle at 40 and go upto 60 in prime95

Back the memory off to 2.0 then as that Corsair isn't known for it's extreme overclocking.

Plus, you could just have one weak core of course.

i dont think its one weak core WJA96 as it happened twice and it was 2 different cores that did it m8 and cheers for the advice, plus m8 im using geil

Try more v-core, my B3 needs 1.406v to get stable at 3.2, any more fsb and fails.
I have the FSB +1 and the MCH +1, will try to go higher, temps are in the 70's now.

set them to this but what about the pci-e ive set that to +1 aswell will that be ok
ddr volts to +3
cpu voltage 1.4
pci-e volts at +0.1
fsb overvolts +0.1
mch overvolts +0.1

i set the cpu volts to 1,45 in the bios but shows up as 1.39 in everest and cpu-z but when running prime95 it drops to 1.36 is that normal,so really i should up the cpu volts to say 1.50 and see if that leaves it at 1.45,then maybe get a bit more out of it

Yes thats normal, its the v-drop and the v-droop. My bios is 1.406, cpu-z reads 1.32 and under load 1.296.
Just keep an eye on the temps.

just tried it a 3.3ghz and it ran for 1 hour and all was ok temps got upto 60 and no higher which isnt bad, think i will just leave it at that for now or let it run over night to see if its fully stable thanks for help
