stuck/dead pixels (?)

Hey,
Im all confused about dead and stuck pixels...
are those 2 names used for same defect ?
is dead pixel, not showing a colour at all and stuck displaying always same colour ? (in my case bright blue ) ..

and I have a couple more pixels in lower corner of my screen that I have no idea how to call them...you can see them only at an angle. and it looks similar to a defect you can get on a LCD of a mobile phone when you scratch the screen and pixels are transparent but can deform a picture (not sure if it makes any sense...) how do you call them ??
Will try to get some pictures up once I get home...

Unless they've appeared recently and you've owned it a while.

once bought, it stayed in a box for a while(long while)
and those 'faulty' pixels were spotted after a while as well, when having closer look on the screen and on an angle lol

those 'transparent I was taking about could only be seen on white background and were emitting light red colour.
they seem to disappear when I cleaned the screen hmmm maybe some added pressure helped ? will check tomorrow again if they will show up again, will consider trying to get a replacement screen...
