Stuck for tft choice ?

Im after a good all round tft, but which must also be good for gaming. I was at first going to go for a Viewsonic VX922, but then i read somewhere that it has a TN panel & that the Viewsonic VP930 has a better type of panel. But the VP930 only has a 8ms response time, is this good enough for fps gaming ?
also, the stand on the VP930 is a bit big on the back, it dont seem to be able to go to close to the wall, can this be removed ? Is there any other monitors i should be considering that is as good as the VX922 & VP930 ? what about the Hyundai ImageQuest Q90U 19, has this got the better panel ? Its so hard to chouse............
 
Thanks for your advise Badass, but i dont think i will get a widescreen monitor because to get the same height of screen as a 19" 4:3 monitor i would probably need to get a 24" widescreen, & thats out of my price range. Do you have any advise as to any other manufactures 4:3 monitors that match up to the same quality ect of the Viewsonic VP930 ?
The Hyundai ImageQuest Q90U 19" has a 3ms response time, does this have a P-MVA panel ? is it any good ?
 
Thanks Badass, is there anyone out there with a Viewsonic VP930 that can tel me how much desk space it takes up with the big stand plz ?
 
Thanks sparkster, thats just the info i wanted, the whole point of my wanting to get a lcd was to give me more desk space, but at 29cm depth its still taking up a lot of space..........hmmm, i wonder if the legs sticking out from the back of the stand can be cut off to give a little bit more space.
qwertyxx, i cant find a review of the LG either, it must be very new im guessing.
 
What about using a WS panel for gaming, im a bit worried about that because of the aspect ratio, i think i also read somwhere that a WS panel needs to have 1:1 pixel mapping to be best for gaming (whatever that means), & i dont think the Viewsonic VX2025wm has that ? what about for windows, does it fill out the screen ok ?
 
I read a bit about WS gaming & it seems that most games can be made to run ok, im getting more & more tempted by the Viewsonic VX2025 now. Do you have a WS tft Badass, if so which one do you own, & are you called Badass cos you fart a lot ?
 
Baddass, sorry to be a pain in the ass, but i saved a bit of money today so might have a little extra to spend on a WS tft, what would you consider to be a step up from the Viewsonic vp930 ? Do you have any info on the Samsung SM-215TW 21, its £458 so i would expect it to be a better monitor, but what does it do better than the vp930 for the extra money ? or any other suggestions you might have :)
