Stuck in Fear!

Near the end of the game, just past the Vault. You go along a corrider and meet the girl who reaches out to you. I can get rid of her twice but the third time is in a corrider, you have nowhere to go and instant death.
What do you have to do?

Shoot her in the head with your pistol as many times as humanly possible. i.e. v.v.v.v.fast...

Yeah that bit took me a couple times - not as hard as trying to get my head round the whole plot though :confused:
