So, I opened about 10 different video tabs on YouTube all at the same time and my PC decided to blue screen. Now it's stuck in the startup repair mode. I've tried to reset the PC by completely wiping everything but it fails. Automatic start-up repair, of course, doesn't work. It won't let me system restore either even though there's a restore point available. It comes up with his error:

I don't have a system image to restore from, FWIW. What can I try now?

You could try creating a repair disk and running chkdsk /r /f from a command prompt, it sounds like your drive is possibly on the way out.

Ugh, this forum is shagged.

Anyway, depending on the size of your drive and its contents it can take a long time but it probably won't actually take 6 hours.

Disconnecting my HDD has zero effect. Obviously my OS and programs are on the SSD. Could it be the SSD?

EDIT: I used chkdsk on the SSD and no issues were found.
