Air traffic controllers across the country are experiencing a technical fault - with one airline reporting "network-wide failure".

Currently sitting in Vilnius airport, looks like I'll be going nowhere fast. I have a load of mates currently stuck in Italy too. All indefinitely delayed...

Currently in Porto and due to be flying home at 5:45pm. Luckily we haven't set off to the airport yet, so at least we're not stuck on a plane or in the terminal.

Hopefully things will become clearer over the next hour or so.

I wonder what impact it will have on flights tomorrow / this week with planes being in the wrong country.

I've got family due to be flying home tomorrow and lots of people will be travelling home this week before the new school term starts

Not just flights into the UK, I expect there will be delays for flights travelling over UK airspace, into Europe or crossing the atlantic Ocean.

I was spitting feathers yesterday over a tiny delay, I cannot comprehend being stuck somewhere.

Last year I think I sat in a plane at BHX for 6 hours because we couldn’t land in Brussels due to fog. That was not fun.
