A friend of my wife has done a good thing in trying to use her card reader on her laptop to read a Sony Mem Stick - however it only takes SD/MS/xD - hence it got stuck/fell in to the card reader.

I've had a quick go a trying to 'jimmy it' out with a few implements but I wondered what over options I've got apart from either taking it apart (the card reader is not open the other end?) or take it to a specialist.

use tweezers its what i used, think i dropped it into the sd slot as well (was an XD card and wasnt paying attention) was a fight but i got it, or stick some bluetack or something sticky 
p) to the end of something and see if you can fish it out.
