Stuck molex in graphics card:/

I can't seem to pull out a molex connected to my 6800gt. It just refuses to come out even with force!

What should i do?

Tried to move it up and down when you take it out? (Only a little bit of course, you don't want to rip the power connector off the card)

cut it using scissors then just wrap some insulating tape round the live wiring

This is why you should use the supplied molex extension thingy, if one came with the video card, and if one didn't come with the video card it's well worth buying one for a couple of quid, then you don't ever have to unplug the molex going into the board. If that socket ever falls off....

All you can really try is easing it up and down as said earlier, and wiggling the wires around. It can take a lot of force when they get stuck though.

Molexs are a pain, they always seem to get stuck for me.

Argh I've tried wiggling from side to side etc but it refuses to budge damnit!

Any other ideas? Guess ill keep on trying.

take the card out, examine it properly and ensure you are not missing the hook that clicps over a notch on the female part of the power connector on the graphics card, (the male part being the molex) if there truly is no clip, you can try a pair of long nose pliars and gently pull it free.
